Hi! My name is Daisy Desiree Hernandez. I am majoring in ASL linguistics and Deaf Cultures but hope to join the interpreting program. Growing up, I always wanted to be a Veterinarian but still was not sure about that not until I fell in love with ASL and wanted to not only know ASL but I wanted to know more like their culture. I also plan to minor in translation studies for Spanish. I already know Spanish but I felt I should expand more on that and help to translation for others for both Spanish and ASL because overall, it does help a lot for those that need it. Growing up, my grandma had a hard time speaking English and I had a hard time speaking Spanish so we decided to practice with each other more and it did help significantly so I felt as I should do the same and help others communicating.
