Here's a little on me.

Hello! My name is Sumaiyah Hossain, and I am studying English Literature, Italian, and Translation Studies at CSULB. In the future, I would like to apply my knowledge and skills in translation to literature reviews and more. I see myself working as a translator because of my love for language learning. I grew up surrounded by languages, my first language being English and my second Spanish. I also learned Quranic Arabic at a young age, and although I’m not fluent, I have a loose understand of my father’s languages—Bangla, Urdu, and Hindi. I aspire to learn more languages and spend time in countries those languages are spoken to be immersed in different cultures. I hope to gain and hone skills that allow me to help other folks bridge the gaps in meaning across languages, cultures, and experiences.
